A standard solar return reading takes the annual chart in isolation and tells you which houses are activated. That is one layer of one part of the picture.
The Annual Revolution is not a standalone chart — it is the vehicle through which your natal promises come alive. The Year Ahead Analysis roots everything in your natal chart first, reads the Annual Revolution in that context, and then breaks the year down month by month to identify when the themes are most likely to peak.
The preparation alone takes several hours before the session begins.
What this reading is not
This is not a prediction of fixed events. Astrology describes conditions, tendencies, and timing windows rather than certainties. While this consultation is rigorous and specific, it works with probability and pattern rather than prophecy. What you do with the framework you receive is dependent upon you and your will to act.
Look at the solar return chart as a standalone
The annual chart is read in isolation, without context from the natal chart. House placements are noted. General themes are identified. The reading is built in real time during the session.
Root the annual chart in a multi-layer natal foundation
Before the Annual Revolution is examined, I root the reading in your natal chart — establishing which time lords are currently governing your life, what your natal chart promises for this phase, and how this year's planetary conditions interact with those promises.
Specific months. Specific themes. Specific context.
The reading produces named months — a Month of Burden, a Time of Alliances, a Path of the Soul — not seasonal vagueness. You leave with a map of the year, not a general impression of it.

The Year Ahead Analysis is structured as a sequence, not a collection of techniques. Each phase informs the next. The time lords tell you what is activated. The Annual Revolution tells you how it will move. The monthly breakdown tells you when.
The Time Lords
Before the Annual Revolution is examined, I root the reading in the natal chart. The question being answered in this first phase is: which planetary energies are governing your life right now, and how do those energies interact with what your chart promises?
- Firdaria — the major planetary period and its seven sub-periods
- Annual Profections — the four points of life: ascendant, sect light, lot of fortune, midheaven
- Lord of the Turn — and whether this year activates the Great Turn, the Turning of the Soul, or a Great Year
The Annual Revolution
With the natal context established, we turn to the Annual Revolution itself. The chart is read both as a standalone document and in comparison with the natal chart — with particular attention to how conditions have changed for the planets that matter most this year.
- Modality of the ascendant — the pacing of the year (cardinal, fixed, or mutable)
- Assemblages — the overall quality and character of the year
- The four Arabic Lots — Fortune, Spirit, Burden, and Assistance
- Special Times — the months where the year's weight concentrates
Month by Month
The year broken into its component months. This is where the broad themes identified in Parts I and II become specific, and where I can identify particular months that are likely to be most active or significant.

This is not a reading built in real time. The work that makes the session possible happens in the days before you arrive.
- Time Lords A clear account of which time lords are governing your life right now and what that means in the context of your natal chart — including the Firdaria period, the annual profections, and the Lord of the Turn with any special activations.
- Annual Chart A full reading of the Annual Revolution — pacing, assemblages, the four lots, and any special years identified (Year of Advancement, Year of Enclosure, and so on).
- Special Times The specific months of your year that carry the most weight — Month of Burden, Time of Alliances, Deeds of the Soul, Path of the Soul — placed in the calendar.
- Month by Month A breakdown of each month identifying the profection lord, the helper, and whether the month is a Peak Month, Critical Month, or Month of Destiny.
- Top Transits The five transits most relevant to your year, identified in context of everything established in the reading — not as isolated planetary events.
- Recording A full recording of the session and copies of all charts used, delivered within 48 hours. The reading is meant to be returned to as the year unfolds.
